congratulations, you’ve earned a credit line increase!
When you applied for your WebBank/Fingerhut credit account, we promised the opportunity to build more credit with us. You’ve established a record of on-time payments – and here you are!
You’ve been awarded a credit line increase because you’re an elite customer and doing an excellent job maintaining your account. Again, congratulations to you.
Your credit building doesn’t stop here. This increase really expands your shopping possibilities. You can order more of what you need, plus you still have the opportunity to build even more positive credit history with on-time payments.
so how does it work?
An unconditional credit line increase is a specific dollar amount that gets added on to your previous credit limit and is yours to use right away. For example, if your previous credit limit was $500 and your credit line increase is $300, your new credit limit is $800. It’s as simple as that.
have more on your mind?
We review customers’ accounts several times per year for credit line increases. You could qualify for a credit line increase after making consistent on-time payments. Accounts are reviewed monthly for eligibility. And sorry, but we can’t accommodate individual requests for credit line increases.
Paying more than the minimum amount due on your Fingerhut account and paying your other bills on time will also help you qualify for a credit line increase.
Credit scores change continually, as often as daily. There are many factors that impact your credit score including other activity on your Fingerhut account, credit cards, the timing of bureau reporting, your credit utilization rate (CUR) and more.
Your CUR is the percentage of your available credit that you have used. If you have a $400 credit limit and a $100 balance, your CUR is 25%. It’s important because it counts for up to 30% of your FICO® Score. Making a purchase will also change your CUR and can have an impact on your credit score.

This is a great question. We award excellent customers with credit line increases, but only you can decide if additional purchases fit within your monthly budget. This monthly payment chart is helpful for budgeting before you order.
